Before installing your new stator

Check the AC output of the stator.

Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator/rectifier

Check and repair any melted wiring.

Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors

Our stator may use a different wire color code than your original.
All of the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations.
This stator is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.

When bolting stator in, always use locking compound.
If our stator includes a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct upon installation; we suggest as close as possible no less than 0.010".

Note:

Our stator is made with 5 wires to accommodate all years of the Blaster 200.

The 2003 and newer models used a 5-wire configuration on the stator (The source coil is not grounded, both of it’s wires run to the CDI box).

Every model before that used the 4-wire configuration (The source coil IS grounded on the stator plate, only 1 wire runs to the CDI box).

This is why our stator includes a separate Green with a bullet connector on end, and a ring terminal on the other. It is used to ground the
Green/White wire from the source coil on our stator to match the earlier model configuration.

If our stator is used on 2003 and newer model, all 5 wires plug in directly to their matching colors on the bike’s harness, and our included extra Green wire with ring terminal is not used.

If our stator is used on a 2002 and older model:

Our stator Yellow/Red to same color on bike (lighting coil)

Our stator White/Red to same color on bike (pickup coil)

Our stator Black to same color on bike (ground)

Our stator Black/Red to same color on bike (source coil)

Our stator Green/White wire to our included Green wire with bullet connector. Ground the other side of this green wire (ring terminal) to the frame.
